This chic and timeless design was inspired by my own bedroom, which I wanted to refresh with a more functional look that captures the classic feel of the beach on cloudy day. My mid-century modern aesthetic is brought to life by the bed, chair, cane cabinet, and ceiling light. Instead of standard nightstands I opted for desks in a luxurious dark wood stain that are each finished with textured lamps.
We added a rustic bench to the end of our bed, reminiscent of driftwood discovered on a serene shore. We also picked out an attractive checkered slate and ivory rug to add some masculinity to the room.
To bring a bit of character to this bedroom, a vintage beach landscape print is hung above the bed and patterned pillows embellish the bed. Linen sheets were included to create that bright, breezy coastal atmosphere.
